Job Details:
Provides clinical support to newly hired nursing staff, during the orientation/preceptorship process. Assists newly hired nursing staff with planning patient care to include nursing interventions, medication administration, patient teaching, anticipation of patient outcomes and problem-solving. Provides coaching, mentoring and counseling to new staff during the orientation/preceptorship process, collaborates with members of the healthcare team to ensure safe practice based on established nursing standards, and makes rounds to patient care units to evaluate patient care delivery provided by new RNs. Works closely with nursing administration and education departments to implement and evaluate the orientation/preceptorship process.
MSN preferred, BSN Required. RN with a minimum of 4 years of M/S/Tele experience required; teaching experience a plus.Must have the ability to organize responsibilities, make decisions, and demonstrate critical thinking skills. BLS required. Specialty certification preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
