The Office of Graduate Admissions supports the enrollment objectives of the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences and the School of Engineering at Tufts University.
Graduate Admissions supports the Deans of each school, and members of the faculty, on the coordination of all aspects of graduate student recruitment, application processing, and marketing and communications.
Graduate Admissions processes more than 5,000 applications annually to 30
departments across 70
programs for fall and spring semester entry to Tufts University.
What You'll Do:
Reporting to the Director of Graduate Admissions, the graduate admissions assistant serves as administrative support to PhD, Master's, and Certificate applicants to the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and/or the Graduate School of Engineering.
The position serves as the first point of contact for prospective graduate students with questions about application and admissions procedures, organizes, batches, and forwards inquiry information to appropriate departments for follow-up; follows up with applicants regarding incomplete or unclear information; quality controls completed applications for departmental review; receives and processes admissions decisions, and prepares decision communication to students.

Basic Requirements:
Knowledge and skills as typically acquired by a high school diploma/GED and 1-3 years' experience Knowledge of data entry protocols Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to be trained in Tufts databases such as SIS and Slate Ability to multitask, assess priorities, and work as part of a team Excellent communication and customer service skills Attention to detail Preferred
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in Higher Education Bachelor's degree Special Work Schedule Requirements:
This position is hybrid and requires some on-campus work expectations.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
