Insight Global is searching for a Social Worker in the Medford and Melrose, MA area.
This person will be responsible for working with new patients within the psychiatric units at a major hospital.
This person will work on a team of psychiatrics, social workers, Psych RNs, Psych NPs and mental health counselors in an overall team size of 8-10.
This person will be responsible for performing three main job
Responsibilities:
psychosocial assessments, care coordination and discharge planning, and concurrent review.
They will perform a social work assessment on new patients.
Also, they will work with the team to develop treatment plans, discharge planning, and referrals.
Thirdly, they will be responsible for conversations with insurances for pre-authorization.
This person must have completed their Masters' in Social Work.
They can be sitting or preparing to sit for their license (LCSW, LMHC, or LICSW) within 6 months of being hired.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be independent and have effective communication.
Previous experience in a large standing psych or adult hospital or geriatric setting is highly preferred.
Standard hours are Monday - Friday, 8AM-4:
30PM with no weekends and no on-call.
