OverviewTufts University Advancement Division seeks a dynamic, experienced developmental professional to serve as Senior Director for the School of Engineering.
Tufts University Advancement Division (UA) is a comprehensive development and alumni engagement enterprise with a staff complement of approximately 200 full time employees.
Units within UA include development/fundraising, alumni engagement, stewardship and donor relations, special events, gift processing, research and prospect management, gift planning, corporate and foundation relations, and information systems and management.
UA's mission is to build strong relationships with Tufts University's constituents, match donor interests with the University's needs and priorities, and secure the financial resources necessary for Tufts to achieve excellence in teaching, research, and scholarship.

The Senior Director of Development for the School of EngineeringReporting to the Executive Director of University Advancement and working in partnership with the Dean of the School of Engineering, the Senior Director of Development for Engineering leads all aspects of the school's fundraising program, including strategy, planning, and execution of Engineering development initiatives, and articulates the school's needs and priorities in the context of the university's mission and priorities.
In addition to directing the Engineering major gift team, the Senior Director oversees fundraising for the Parents Giving Program.
They also work closely with gift planning, corporate and foundation relations, principal giving, and prospect management to expand philanthropic support for the school and the university.
The Senior Director will have primary responsibility for leveraging major gifts and will maintain a portfolio of individual major and leadership gift prospects.
What We're Looking ForMinimum Requirements:
Knowledge and skills typically acquired through a bachelor's degree and 10
years of experience.
Extensive knowledge of a leadership role in philanthropy.
Proven track record in structuring proposal and securing major/leadership gifts in complex higher education environment.
Demonstrated experience in managing professional fundraising team.
Expert interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of major gift and annual fund strategies.
Demonstrated success in closing six figure and seven figure gifts.
Pay RangeMinimum $149,800.
00, Midpoint $187,250.
00, Maximum $224,700.
00Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
