A top education financing firm is looking for a long-term contract Payroll Manager to work through the end of the year. This position provides payroll and HRIS services to all subsidiaries of the firm, generates scheduled reports, and provides assistance for quarterly and annual audits among other tasks. The ideal candidate is highly organized and has the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively with the professionalism and confidentiality expected of the Payroll manager. At least five years of payroll experience is a must. $45+/hr.
Salary range is not a guarantee of the final salary offer. Offers are based on a variety of factors, including work and industry specific experience, education, salary history, etc.
Administration and analysis of bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls
Administration of the Payroll and HRIS system
Administration of the Time and Attendance system
Generate scheduled reports and create adhoc reports for all areas of the company
Provide assistance for quarterly, annual, and adhoc audits and audit requests
Perform other duties as assigned
At least five years payroll experience in an automated environment
Must be proficient with all MS Office applications with extensive experience in Excel
Experience with Fidelity HR Access preferred
Must be able to work with highly confidential information
Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley requirements and testing
Knowledge of recent Payroll legislation including new ACA requirements is a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
